What makes a sectional door the better garage door?
A sectional door is made of insulated horizontal panels that rise straight up and park under the ceiling. You can park right up to it, it seals on all four sides and it is easy to motorise. Here is how we handle the job.
Made to your opening
Every door is ordered to the surveyed size, not rounded to a stock size.
Safety set up properly
Powered doors are force-tested and handed over with the paperwork.
Prices you can see
Published guide prices, then a fixed written price after survey.
Aftercare too
Springs, cables, motors and servicing for most sectional doors.

Made to measure
Your door is ordered to the surveyed size. The lead time is on your quote.
Fitting day
The old door comes out, the new door goes in and is balanced, tested and handed over.
Is a sectional door better than an up-and-over door?
For most homes, yes. An up-and-over door swings out onto the drive, is rarely insulated and leaves gaps round the edges. A sectional door lifts straight up, keeps the full opening usable and seals on all four sides.
| Feature | Sectional | Up-and-over |
|---|---|---|
| Space on the drive | None needed | Swings out about a metre |
| Insulation | Foam-filled double-skin panels | Usually single-skin steel |
| Seals | All four sides and between panels | Gaps are common |
| Electric operation | Straightforward | Possible on some doors |
