What are the most common faults?

Broken springs, frayed or slack lift cables, worn rollers, loose hinges, bent tracks after a car knock, failed photocells and worn operator parts are the usual culprits.

Is it safe to keep using the door?

If the door is noisy but balanced, it is usually safe to use carefully until the visit. If a spring has broken, a cable has come off its drum or the door hangs crooked, stop using it, keep people clear and do not try to force it.

Can you repair any make?

Sectional doors share common parts, so many repairs can be done on most makes. Some parts are brand-specific and need ordering; we tell you if that applies.

Will you tell me the price before the visit?

Yes. Repair visits are chargeable, and we agree the visit price with you before we come. Parts and any extra work are quoted before we carry them out.

When is a repair not worth it?

If the panels are badly damaged, parts are obsolete, or several major parts are worn at once, a new door can be better value. We will say so honestly.
