What we collect
- Enquiry and survey forms: name, phone, email, postcode, the service you are interested in, your message and the page you sent it from.
- Guide-price tool: your door choices and guide price, plus the contact details above.
- Live chat (Tawk.to): chat messages and any details you choose to give, plus technical data such as browser and approximate location from your IP address.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4), only if you accept: pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location and interactions such as form submissions and phone-link clicks.
- WhatsApp: if you message us, WhatsApp processes your number and messages under its own terms.
- Calls and emails: details you give us when you call or email.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey, quote and carry out work: steps at your request before entering a contract, and performance of a contract.
- To keep records of quotes, jobs and safety checks: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- Analytics and live chat cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
- To improve our service and prevent spam: legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
- The S&K Group company that quotes for and carries out your work, and the installers and engineers working for us on your job.
- Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Tawk.to, which provides live chat.
- Google, for analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Netlify, which hosts this website, and our email providers.
- Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires.
If you go ahead with a quote or a job, the S&K Group company that contracts with you (normally S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd) is also a controller of the quote, contract, invoice and safety records it keeps.
We do not sell your personal data. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months. Quotes, contracts, invoices and safety records for completed work: up to 7 years after the job, or longer where needed for warranty or legal claims. Chat transcripts: up to 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection to processing and data portability, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details above.
