Choosing a sectional door with a pass door for a home in Colwyn Bay
Why choose a pass door?
Opening a whole garage door to grab a bike or bin lets out heat and takes time. A pass door gives quick, everyday access and keeps the main door shut.
Can every door have one?
Pass doors are only offered on certain ranges, widths and designs, and the door must be wide enough to accommodate the pass door with sections either side.
Options and upgrades for Colwyn Bay homes
- Lock and handleMatched to the door.

- Low thresholdOn selected ranges.

How much does a sectional door with a pass door cost in Colwyn Bay?
Guide price: from £3,995 inc VAT. The figure includes VAT, fitting and taking away a standard old door. Your survey turns it into a fixed price.
The survey is free and there is no obligation. We measure width, height, headroom, side room and depth, and look at power for an operator.
Do you need permission in Colwyn Bay?
If your property in Colwyn Bay is listed, in a conservation area or on an estate with planning conditions, Conwy Council is the authority to check with before ordering.

Can a pass door be added to my existing sectional door?
Not usually. The pass door is built into the door at the factory, so it is ordered with a new door.
How much does a pass door add?
A sectional door with an integrated pass door is typically from £3,995 supplied and fitted, as it is a specialist build.
Which parts of Colwyn Bay do you cover?
We cover Colwyn Bay across postcode districts LL28, LL29, along with nearby Rhyl and Prestatyn. Dates are agreed when you book.
Do I need planning permission for a new garage door in Colwyn Bay?
Usually not. A replacement garage door of similar appearance is normally minor work in Wales, but listed buildings, conservation areas and planning conditions can change that. If in doubt, check with Conwy Council.
