Sectional garage door installation in Cirencester

Choosing a new sectional garage door for a home in Cirencester

Why does balancing matter?

A balanced door should stay roughly where you leave it part-open. If the springs are set too light or too heavy, the door wears faster and the operator works harder. Balancing is a key step we never skip.

Do you supply doors for others to fit?

This service is supply and fit. Spring-loaded doors are dangerous to install without training, which is why we fit what we supply.

What will a new sectional garage door cost in Cirencester?

Guide price: £2,095–£2,795 inc VAT. That covers the door, fitting, removal of a standard old door and VAT; the fixed price follows the free survey.

The survey is free and there is no obligation. We measure width, height, headroom, side room and depth, and look at power for an operator.

Do you need permission in Cirencester?

Cirencester falls under the local district or borough council for planning and building control, which is the place to check if your home is listed or in a conservation area.

In England you can usually replace a garage door without planning permission. Check first if the house is listed, sits in a conservation area or Article 4 area, or was built with planning conditions covering the garage.

If the garage already has a socket near the operator position, no electrical notification is needed. A brand-new circuit is notifiable under Part P in England.
