Sectional garage door installation in Banbridge

Choosing a new sectional garage door for a home in Banbridge

Do you supply doors for others to fit?

This service is supply and fit. Spring-loaded doors are dangerous to install without training, which is why we fit what we supply.

What happens on fitting day?

The old door is taken out, the opening is prepared, the frame and vertical tracks go in, the horizontal tracks are hung from the ceiling, the panels are assembled section by section, and the springs are fitted and set. The operator is fitted last, then everything is tested.

What rules apply in Banbridge?

The planning authority for Banbridge is Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council. A replacement garage door is usually outside planning control, but it is worth a quick check where conditions apply.

Northern Ireland planning rules usually allow a replacement garage door in the same opening. Check with the council planning office first if the property is listed or in a conservation area.

A socket for an operator in Northern Ireland should be installed to BS 7671 by a competent electrician.

Under the Windsor Framework, products placed on the market in Northern Ireland follow EU rules, so doors carry CE marking (with UKNI where a UK body assessed them). UKCA marking on its own is not accepted in Northern Ireland.
