What should Craigavon homeowners know about new sectional garage doors?
Why does balancing matter?
A balanced door should stay roughly where you leave it part-open. If the springs are set too light or too heavy, the door wears faster and the operator works harder. Balancing is a key step we never skip.
What paperwork will I get?
You get the door details, warranty information and, for powered doors, the safety checks carried out at handover, plus guidance on using the emergency release.

How much does a new sectional garage door cost in Craigavon?
Guide price: £2,095–£2,795 inc VAT. Prices include VAT and fitting. Building work to the opening or a new electrical circuit would be quoted separately.
The survey is free and there is no obligation. We measure width, height, headroom, side room and depth, and look at power for an operator.
Planning and regulations for Craigavon homes
The planning authority for Craigavon is Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council. A replacement garage door is usually outside planning control, but it is worth a quick check where conditions apply.
Northern Ireland planning rules usually allow a replacement garage door in the same opening. Check with the council planning office first if the property is listed or in a conservation area.
Northern Ireland has no Part P equivalent, but electrical work for an operator should still be done to BS 7671 and certified.
Under the Windsor Framework, products placed on the market in Northern Ireland follow EU rules, so doors carry CE marking (with UKNI where a UK body assessed them). UKCA marking on its own is not accepted in Northern Ireland.
