Key questions about sectional doors with a pass door in Newtown
Are there threshold limits?
A pass door sits within the bottom section, so there is a threshold to step over. Some ranges offer low-threshold designs that are easier to use, but it is never as level as a separate side door.
Why choose a pass door?
Opening a whole garage door to grab a bike or bin lets out heat and takes time. A pass door gives quick, everyday access and keeps the main door shut.
Which options are available in Newtown?
- Lock and handleMatched to the door.
- Low thresholdOn selected ranges.
- Safety interlockStops the door running when the pass door is open.
- Hinge sideLeft or right hand.
What will a sectional door with a pass door cost in Newtown?
Guide price: from £3,995 inc VAT. Prices include VAT and fitting. Building work to the opening or a new electrical circuit would be quoted separately.
Our free survey checks the opening, headroom above it, room either side for the tracks, garage depth and where an operator will be powered from.

Yes, there is a threshold. Low-threshold versions reduce it on some ranges.

We cover Newtown across postcode districts SY16, along with nearby Welshpool. Dates are agreed when you book.
Will Powys Council need to approve my new garage door?
