Key questions about sectional doors with a pass door in Llanelli
Why choose a pass door?
Opening a whole garage door to grab a bike or bin lets out heat and takes time. A pass door gives quick, everyday access and keeps the main door shut.
Is a separate side door better?
If there is space for a side door, it is usually easier to use and keeps the main door simpler. Where there is not, a pass door is the neat answer.
What can you choose for your Llanelli garage?
- Lock and handleMatched to the door.
- Low thresholdOn selected ranges.
- Hinge sideLeft or right hand.
- Safety interlockStops the door running when the pass door is open.

Questions from Llanelli customers
Is there a step to get through a pass door?
Yes, there is a threshold. Low-threshold versions reduce it on some ranges.
Can a pass door be added to my existing sectional door?
Not usually. The pass door is built into the door at the factory, so it is ordered with a new door.
Do you cover Llanelli?
Yes. We cover Llanelli, including postcode districts SA15. Installation and visit dates depend on installer availability and are agreed when you book.
Do I need planning permission for a new garage door in Llanelli?
Usually not. A replacement garage door of similar appearance is normally minor work in Wales, but listed buildings, conservation areas and planning conditions can change that. If in doubt, check with Carmarthenshire Council.
Do you also cover towns near Llanelli?
Yes. Close to Llanelli we also cover Gorseinon (5 mi), Swansea (10 mi), Ammanford (11 mi) and Carmarthen (13 mi).
