Key questions about new sectional garage doors in Crowborough
What is checked at survey?
We measure the opening width and height, headroom above the opening, side room either side, the depth of the garage, and the condition of the brickwork, lintel and floor. We also look at power for an operator and anything that could get in the way of the tracks.
Do you supply doors for others to fit?
This service is supply and fit. Spring-loaded doors are dangerous to install without training, which is why we fit what we supply.

What will a new sectional garage door cost in Crowborough?
Guide price: £2,095–£2,795 inc VAT. That covers the door, fitting, removal of a standard old door and VAT; the fixed price follows the free survey.
At the free survey we measure everything the manufacturer needs, check the brickwork, lintel and floor, and agree the door details with you.
What rules apply in Crowborough?
Crowborough falls under the local district or borough council for planning and building control, which is the place to check if your home is listed or in a conservation area.
English planning rules normally treat a replacement garage door as permitted. Listed status, conservation areas, Article 4 directions and estate planning conditions are what can change that.
If the garage already has a socket near the operator position, no electrical notification is needed. A brand-new circuit is notifiable under Part P in England.

Questions from Crowborough customers
How much does installation cost?
Installation is included in our supply-and-fit prices. A typical single door is around £2,095–£2,795 supplied and fitted.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to be there at the start and for the handover at the end, so we can agree the details and show you how everything works.
Do you cover Crowborough?
Yes. We cover Crowborough, including postcode districts TN6. Installation and visit dates depend on installer availability and are agreed when you book.
Will the local district or borough council need to approve my new garage door?
Usually not. Replacing a garage door, including with an electric sectional door, does not normally need planning permission in England unless the house is listed, in a conservation area or Article 4 area, or has planning conditions affecting the garage. If in doubt, ask the local district or borough council before ordering.
Do you also cover towns near Crowborough?
Yes. Close to Crowborough we also cover Uckfield (7 mi), Hailsham (14 mi) and Lewes (15 mi).
