What rules apply in Carrickfergus?

Carrickfergus falls under Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for planning and building control, which is the place to check if your home is listed or in a conservation area.

Northern Ireland planning rules usually allow a replacement garage door in the same opening. Check with the council planning office first if the property is listed or in a conservation area.

Under the Windsor Framework, products placed on the market in Northern Ireland follow EU rules, so doors carry CE marking (with UKNI where a UK body assessed them). UKCA marking on its own is not accepted in Northern Ireland.
