Key questions about large sectional doors in Newtown
How are lead times affected?
Non-standard sizes are made to order, so lead times can run longer than for common domestic sizes. The quote shows the expected lead time.
What about oak-framed and timber buildings?
Doors can be fixed to timber frames, but the fixings and any packers have to suit the frame, and green oak moves as it dries. The survey checks the frame and the fixing positions.

The survey is free and there is no obligation. We measure width, height, headroom, side room and depth, and look at power for an operator.
Do you need permission in Newtown?
Planning questions for homes in Newtown go to Powys Council. Most garage door swaps need no permission, but conservation areas and listed buildings are the exceptions.
Welsh planning rules usually allow a replacement garage door of similar appearance without an application, unless the home is listed, in a conservation area or subject to conditions.

Yes, provided the building has the height and structure for the tracks and the door. We measure headroom, side room and depth at survey.

Do I need planning permission for a new garage door in Newtown?
