Double sectional garage doors in Cookstown

Double sectional garage doors: what matters for Cookstown garages

How long does fitting take?

A double sectional door is still usually a one-day job for a two-person team, including removal of the old door, unless the opening needs building work first.

Can a double door have a pedestrian door in it?

Some ranges offer an integrated wicket door within a sectional door. It is useful on wide doors where there is no separate side door, though it adds cost and has threshold and width limits.

Planning and regulations for Cookstown homes

If your property in Cookstown is listed, in a conservation area or on an estate with planning conditions, Mid Ulster District Council is the authority to check with before ordering.

Northern Ireland planning rules usually allow a replacement garage door in the same opening. Check with the council planning office first if the property is listed or in a conservation area.

Under the Windsor Framework, products placed on the market in Northern Ireland follow EU rules, so doors carry CE marking (with UKNI where a UK body assessed them). UKCA marking on its own is not accepted in Northern Ireland.
