Choosing a commercial sectional door for a home in Bideford
Can a commercial door be insulated?
Yes. Insulated panels are standard on most commercial sectional doors and help heated workshops keep costs down.
What are the duties at work?
Powered doors in workplaces must be safe and maintained. In Great Britain that falls under workplace and work equipment law, and in Northern Ireland under its equivalent regulations. Regular servicing with records is the practical way to show the door is kept safe.

Planning and regulations for Bideford homes
If your property in Bideford is listed, in a conservation area or on an estate with planning conditions, the local district or borough council is the authority to check with before ordering.
A new garage door in an existing opening is not normally development needing planning permission in England. The exceptions are listed buildings, conservation areas, Article 4 areas and estates where a planning condition restricts changes to the garage.
If the garage already has a socket near the operator position, no electrical notification is needed. A brand-new circuit is notifiable under Part P in England.
At work, powered doors must also be maintained under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Usually not.
