What should Crawley homeowners know about coloured sectional doors?
Can the inside be a different colour?
The inside of most doors is a standard white or light grey finish. Some ranges offer the outside colour on both faces at extra cost.
Why is anthracite grey so popular?
Anthracite grey matches the dark grey windows and doors fitted to many UK homes in recent years. It looks modern, hides dirt well and suits brick, render and cladding.

What will a coloured sectional door cost in Crawley?
Guide price: £2,095–£2,995 inc VAT. The figure includes VAT, fitting and taking away a standard old door. Your survey turns it into a fixed price.
At the free survey we measure everything the manufacturer needs, check the brickwork, lintel and floor, and agree the door details with you.
What rules apply in Crawley?
Crawley falls under the local district or borough council for planning and building control, which is the place to check if your home is listed or in a conservation area.
English planning rules normally treat a replacement garage door as permitted. Listed status, conservation areas, Article 4 directions and estate planning conditions are what can change that.

Questions from Crawley customers
How much extra is a coloured garage door?
Preferred colours such as anthracite grey often cost little or nothing extra; RAL colours to order usually add to the price. A coloured single door is typically around £2,095–£2,995 supplied and fitted.
What colour garage door adds most kerb appeal?
The one that matches your windows and front door. Anthracite grey and white are the most common choices.
Do you cover Crawley?
Yes. We cover Crawley, including postcode districts RH10, RH11. Installation and visit dates depend on installer availability and are agreed when you book.
Will the local district or borough council need to approve my new garage door?
Usually not. Replacing a garage door, including with an electric sectional door, does not normally need planning permission in England unless the house is listed, in a conservation area or Article 4 area, or has planning conditions affecting the garage. If in doubt, ask the local district or borough council before ordering.
Do you also cover towns near Crawley?
Yes. Close to Crawley we also cover Horsham (7 mi), East Grinstead (8 mi), Haywards Heath (9 mi) and Burgess Hill (11 mi).
