Cassette and Georgian sectional garage doors: what matters for Horsham garages
Why pick a cassette design?
Cassettes break the door into a grid, which echoes panelled front doors and sash windows. On a traditional house, a cassette door looks at home in a way a plain ribbed door sometimes does not.
How many cassettes will I get?
The number of cassettes per row depends on the door width and the range. The manufacturer sets the layout so cassettes stay well proportioned.
What can you choose for your Horsham garage?
- Window cassettesGlazed inserts in the top row on some ranges.
- Cassette layoutGrid set by the manufacturer for the width.
- Woodgrain textureAdds a painted-timber feel.
- Heritage coloursMany RAL colours to order.

Guide price: £2,195–£2,895 inc VAT. Prices include VAT and fitting. Building work to the opening or a new electrical circuit would be quoted separately.
At the free survey we measure everything the manufacturer needs, check the brickwork, lintel and floor, and agree the door details with you.
Planning and regulations for Horsham homes
If your property in Horsham is listed, in a conservation area or on an estate with planning conditions, the local district or borough council is the authority to check with before ordering.
English planning rules normally treat a replacement garage door as permitted. Listed status, conservation areas, Article 4 directions and estate planning conditions are what can change that.

Questions from Horsham customers
Can the top row be glazed?
Some ranges offer glazed cassettes in the top row for daylight.
How much is a cassette sectional garage door?
A cassette sectional door, supplied and fitted, is typically around £2,195–£2,895.
Which parts of Horsham do you cover?
We cover Horsham across postcode districts RH12, RH13, along with nearby Crawley, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. Dates are agreed when you book.
Will the local district or borough council need to approve my new garage door?
Usually not. Replacing a garage door, including with an electric sectional door, does not normally need planning permission in England unless the house is listed, in a conservation area or Article 4 area, or has planning conditions affecting the garage. If in doubt, ask the local district or borough council before ordering.
